The live event “Cultivate vol.5” will be held at Shindaita FEVER on Friday, December 4, 2026.
This edition features a two-man live show with U-zhaan × Tamaki ROY × Chinza DOPENESS, a unit formed by two rappers and a tabla player, alongside VIDEOTAPEMUSIC, a musician who is also active as a video director.
From the tabla rhythms of U-zhaan showcasing exceptional expressiveness and the seamlessly woven rap of Tamaki ROY and Chinza DOPENESS, to VIDEOTAPEMUSIC's performance playing instruments alongside VHS imagery, each stage offers a truly unique experience.
We bring you a musical experience that can only be savored live on that day.
The flyer design is a sampling art piece created by Akita-born illustrator JUTA SASAKI, who captured the image of this event under the theme of "enjoying sound."

Artist Profiles
■U-zhaan×Tamaki ROY×Chinza DOPENESS
A unit composed of two rappers and a tabla player. Formed following a joint performance at Shibuya WWW in 2011, they have since performed intermittently at various events and festivals. In 2014, they co-wrote the track "Tabla'n'Rap" for U-zhaan's release "Tabla Rock Mountain," and in 2018, they participated in Akiko Yano's album "Futari Bocchi de Ikou." In 2019, they released "Energy Flo" under the name "U-zhaan & Ryuichi Sakamoto feat. Tamaki ROY x Chinza DOPENESS." In 2021, they released their 1st album "Tanoshimi," featuring guest vocals from Akiko Yano and Salyu. At the release concert for the album, 2,860 snacks provided by Ginbis Co., Ltd. were given to attendees in reference to the included track "Ginbis." In 2026, they held solo concerts in Germany and Taiwan. That same year, they also released two new collaborative tracks with Ryuichi Sakamoto, "Tennen Energy Flo" and "Technopolis."

Musician and video director. Often collects VHS tapes—a video medium considered increasingly obsolete—from various locations, using them as source material for creating music and video works. Performs live using VHS footage and a melodica, while also directing music videos and VJ sets for numerous musicians. In recent years, he has been creating works while conducting fieldwork in various locations across Japan. He also performs under the name “湖底(Kotei)” a project exclusively using private home
videos found in people's homes. In June 2024, he released the cassette book work ‘Revisit,’ compiling records of his residency projects across Japan into a cassette tape and a 160-page book.
