KLEW Secures Patent for Technology Enabling Communication Exclusively Among Event Ticket Holders.
Creating direct artist–fan communication beyond ticket issuers.
KLEW, a platform provided by Kulture Inc. that enables new forms of live music experiences, is a communication service where only performing artists and ticket holders of a live event can participate. We are pleased to announce that KLEW has been granted a patent for its unique communication control technology linked to live events.
This patented technology authenticates only the ticket holders of a given live event within the KLEW system, granting them exclusive access to dedicated channels where posting and viewing are restricted to verified users. This makes possible digital communication spaces accessible solely to performing artists and authenticated fans.
To verify ticket ownership, users simply upload an image of their ticket to KLEW. Using AI-based image recognition, the system can quickly and accurately validate ticket details regardless of the issuing or distribution platform.
Challenges KLEW Solves and the Value It Provides
One of the fundamental challenges in the music industry is that artists and their management often lack sufficient visibility into who their most loyal fans are—namely, the people attending their live shows—and are unable to fully leverage this valuable data.
KLEW addresses this by enabling efficient and accurate collection of attendee information and providing a mechanism that enhances the live experience. At its core is the Channel feature: a digital space accessible only to performing artists and ticket holders who upload their tickets for authentication.
These channels not only allow interaction between artists and fans but also foster fan-to-fan communication and give artists a place to share exclusive content. By engaging directly with their most passionate audiences, artists and their teams can enhance fan loyalty and even boost revenue through KLEW’s “Super Message” tipping function.
Patent Overview and Technical Originality
The granted patent (Patent No. 7691202) covers a management technology that restricts channel access exclusively to verified ticket holders based on live event ticket information.
The system extracts ticket details (such as performance date or artist name) from images, cross-references them with KLEW’s registered event data, and authenticates only genuine ticket holders. Verified users are then permitted to post and view content within the relevant channel.
Additionally, KLEW’s structure allows for multiple channels per event, enabling flexible management across entire tours or multi-performance events. This design uniquely combines “proof of event participation” with “exclusive digital spaces”, delivering a groundbreaking live music experience.

Adoption of KLEW
Launched in November 2024, KLEW is the first domestic platform enabling communication exclusively among ticket holders of the same live event and the performing artists. By transforming live tickets into digital keys for fan communication, KLEW strengthens artist–fan connections and enhances live experiences.
Since launch, KLEW has been adopted by 36 artists across 64 performances, including The Novembers, Ohzora Kimishima, and BABYMETAL. It has also been used at multi-artist events such as VICTERA PETA and StoriAA.
Within these channels, artists share rehearsal clips or tour snapshots before performances, while fans exchange posts that heighten excitement. Immediately after shows, exclusive artist messages, setlists, and fan impressions are shared—creating a unique sense of unity and afterglow distinct from general social media.
Some artists have also offered exclusive content within KLEW as ticket-purchase perks or distributed special rewards at venues in return for Super Messages, demonstrating diverse use cases tailored to artist needs.
Future Outlook
KLEW redefines the role of the “ticket,” evolving it from a mere entry pass into a gateway for fan communication.
Looking ahead, KLEW aims to provide artists and management with attendee analysis and engagement visualization, driving repeat attendance and new fan acquisition. For fans, KLEW seeks to deliver opportunities for discovering new live events and experiencing deeper enjoyment of live music.
