About KLEW

KLEW is Japan's first (*1) platform that allows digital communication only between fans who have live tickets for the same show or between fans and the artists who will perform.

Evolving every ticket from a mere admission ticket to a communication tool

The first service in Japan to evolve live tickets into a catalyst for fan engagement, "KLEW" is released. Artists using the service at the time of its launch Ohzora Kimishima and The Novembers.

KLEW was developed to increase fan loyalty, which is essential for artists to sustain their activities.

Until now, it has been difficult for artists themselves or their management to information about visitors or to communicate anything to visitors alone off stage, despite the fact that live performances are the moments when fans are at their most passionate.

In order to solve this problem, we realized that we needed to utilize the ticket as it is, which is always in the hands of visitors, and evolve the ticket from a mere admission ticket to a tool that serves as a catalyst for communication between artists and fans, and between fans.

In response, KLEW has implemented an AI-based ticket authentication function. KLEW reads the ticket in the user's hand, determines what kind of user is coming to the performance, and returns the authenticated user information to the artist and management. In addition, KLEW provides an opportunity for users with tickets to communicate digitally with the performing artists before and after the show.

Main features of KLEW

1. AI-based ticket authentication

Regardless of which play guide sells the tickets, visitors can take a photo of the purchased ticket with their smartphone camera and upload it, and the AI will identify the photo of the ticket. This will determine whether the user is actually attending the performance, allowing communication only between the authenticated user and the performing artist.

2. A channel where only authenticated users and performing artists can communicate

This is a communication space for each live performance that can only be accessed by users with verified tickets and the artists performing. Through communication between fans and artists before and after the performance, it increases the anticipation and satisfaction of the one-off live performance. Furthermore, by utilizing the spoiler prevention function, it is possible to provide content (such as set lists) that can only be unlocked by users with verified tickets.

3. Super Messages as a new source of income for artists at live shows

Users can send messages of monetary value directly to artists within their channels, bringing in new revenue sources for live shows in addition to tickets and merchandise.

These messages are more special than regular messages, so fans can use special images for their messages, edit the font size and position, and get their message to the artist in their own way.

4. Badges and tokens to prove your fan loyalty

Proof that you have a ticket or have supported artist with a Super Message will be issued as a badge within KLEW and recorded as a token (NFT) on the blockchain. In the future, we are considering using these badges and tokens to introduce a special offer function for passionate fans.
